It Has Come to Pass

I think Alex almost cried when he saw this movie trailer (at about 54 seconds in):

Some sweetness from the last few weeks

Modeling in a tutu:

Her first rice cereal:

After her bath the other night, I did her hair like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals, though you can't really see it that well. It looked pretty sweet.

Having fun in her bouncy seat that Aunt Shannon bought her:

Isn't she just the cutest baby in the whole world?

Four Months

Addy is four months old! It is already hard to remember her being any smaller than she is. She is so much fun, and Alex and I can't resist giving her little face a zillion kisses every day. She just started this week rolling all the way over from her back to her stomach. She is finding her voice more each day. I can't really say that she's laughing yet, but she is getting there. She loves bath time and has started to enjoy looking at books. She still doesn't like going to sleep and fights it every time. I can't say that I don't remember what life was like before her, because I do (and it was good!), but I can say I wouldn't want to be without her. Ever.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, Christel, who is the best Mom ever. I consider myself very very blessed to have been raised by such a wonderful, caring, supportive, and loving mother. I do not remember a time that I've not felt loved by her (and my Dad). She's always been there when I needed her, and in the last year, I've needed her more than ever, and she's been such a source of strength for me. There are so many things about my mom that I love, and so many ways that I hope I can be like her for Addy. She is such a strong woman, and I have so much respect for her and all that she has accomplished in her life. Although we talk several times a week, I wish I could live closer so I could see her more often. Happy mother's day, Mama. We love you!

Yes, more video

Finally, here is Addy smiling. I do think she is the cutest thing ever.

More videos

Here are some more videos for your viewing pleasure.

In this first one, you will see one of the joys of living in Florida: wildlife encounters in your own backyard!

We have a water treatment plant behind our house, and one day Alex heard something hitting the fence over and over and over. So he went out and found this:

I also saw a big panther on the other side of this fence one day, though no one believes me because I'm the only one that saw it. I notoriously am very ignorant when it comes to animals, so Alex always teases me when he sees the neighbor's black cat and asks if that's the "panther" I saw.

This video is of Addy (who else, right?). She does not always suck on a pacifier, only when she is going to sleep. She does however, suck on her hands quite often. Before she discovered her hands, she went through a little phase where she did a lot of this:

Addy's noises

I think Addy makes some pretty cute and funny noises. These videos were both taken at least a couple of weeks ago. In the first, Addy had just been nursing, and she is making some noises that she used to make a lot more when she was just born. She only makes these noises when she is really content and sleeping.

Here are some more noises that I find pretty hilarious.
