Easter Weekend
Here are some photos from this past Easter weekend, which was full of family and fun!
This was Addy's first trip to the beach. We had a beach party to celebrate cousin Gene coming home from his mission to Poland. Grandma and Grandpa Wilson came to celebrate too. Poor Grandpa Wilson forgot swim trunks. I'm not sure I've seen him in swim trunks since I was a kid!
Aunt Shannon got Addy her own cake to celebrate the blessing she was given that morning by Alex. Thanks Aunt Shannon! Uncle Gene gave her a taste of the frosting when I wasn't looking.
Here we are just after Addy's blessing. Grandma Wilson made her dress out of my wedding dress, and it turned out so beautiful!
I was lucky that my brother Kevin, his family, my sister Kenna, and her family, and my parents came down for this special occasion. I have a great family.
Here is Addy with her Ohio cousins (from left) Tanner, Trey, Cameron (holding Addy), Ella, Mary, Monica, Sarah (behind Monica) and Rylee. Megan was wondering around somewhere outside the picture!
Here is Addy's half smile. I love the way she furrows her eyebrows.

I love this baby!
Here is a picture I snapped on my blackberry yesterday morning of Miss Addy. She was in quite the good mood.
She had another doctor's appointment yesterday, where we learned that she now weighs 12 lbs. 7 oz. and has dropped in her height percentile (only 83%). She had a couple more shots, which Alex said really made her angry. Those of you that have seen her recently know how much she drools; the doctor even commented on how unusally drooly she is!

Eight Weeks!
Addy is eight weeks old today! Not much has changed for her in the last four weeks, although she really does now enjoy the Baby Einstein play mat (particularly the lights), is sleeping longer during the night, and does not like to have the pacifier as much when she is going to sleep. She has started to smile quite a bit, particularly after she has just woken up, just eaten, or just evacuated her bowels. She is still the most sweet, adorable baby I know.
She had an eventful day to celebrate her eight weeks on Earth, filled with church and a trip to visit Aunt Shannon and Uncle Gene. Alex and I forgot the diaper bag when we went over to Shannon and Gene's house, so when Addy blew out yet another diaper on Aunt Shannon's lap (very ironically, just after Aunt Shannon asked Addy not to have a blow out on her dress!), we could only disrobe her and wipe her down. She traveled home in the buff, wrapped in one of Uncle Gene's t-shirts.

Her future's so bright...
Tuesday, March 9, 2010
The last weekend in February, we took a trip to Palm Bay to visit Grandma and Grandpa Berger and the rest of Alex's family and some friends on that side of the state. Addy did great in the car and slept the entire 2.5 hour trip, so it's good to know we'll be able to make that trip so that Grandpa Berger can see his favorite grandchild (you know its true!)!
Addy got to meet her aunts, uncles, cousins, and boys to whom she has already been betrothed. Here she is with Aunt Valerie and cousin Amelia. Amelia, who initially was told (for giggles) to call my baby "ugly," fell in love with Addy upon seeing her and wanted to hold her and kiss her. The Berger kids also call Addy "Cortana" after some character in their favorite video game, Halo. They decided before Addy was born that Cortana should be her name, so when they called her that in conversation, it was no surprise and we knew to whom they were referring.
Here she is with cousin Alex. I am glad he likes her, considering it took him years to warm up to me.

Here is Addy with our good friend, Stephanie Paxton, who made the adorable tutu she is wearing in this picture. Stephanie's sister and our other good friend, Heather Menzie, made the sweet headband. Both Heather and Stephanie have made sure that Addy is beautifully accessorized, and have contributed much to the decoration of Addy's nursery (pictures to come).

Addy had a bath with Grandma Berger in the kitchen sink. Apparently, lots of other babies have been bathed in this sink. Grandma Berger very sweetly took care of Addy, although it was not easy for her to be bent over the sink.
Here is Addy, with her adoring and doting Grandpa Berger. The trip was worth it, if only to witness moments like this.

We had moments that were not so awesome, such as the several incredible, disgusting diaper blowouts, including the one below, which was by far, the most incredible. This weekend we learned not to wait to change this girl's diaper.
We are lucky to have Alex's family and some friends so close, though we could stand to see more of them on this side of the state! We are looking forward to Addy meeting her Grandpa Wilson and more of my family come April!
