Twelve Weeks!

Last Sunday, Addy turned 12 weeks old.

Things she loves: Daddy's voice, her Baby Einstein play mat, being called "gorgeous," Rhianna's "Rude Boy" video, and sleeping an average of 7 hours a night (which is definitely on my list of likes right now, too).

Things she dislikes: having her fingernails clipped, falling asleep, and gas.

More Easter Weekend

I realize that in my Easter Weekend post I neglected to add any pictures of the Berger side of the family. This omission was not because they are not loved, but because I was just super-thrilled to have my family down from Ohio. Here are some photos of the other best side of our family. :) Here is Aunt Shannon with my Mom and sleepy Addy.

Here we are with Keith and Kathy. I think Alex just goosed them, which is why he is smiling like a normal person in this picture.

Here are our two fabulous nieces, Alexis (on left) and Andrea (on right).

Here is Addy with her wonderful Aunt Valerie...

...and her other wonderful Aunt Rebekah at the beach.

Cousin Ethan was baptized the same day that Addy was blessed. He was kind enough to let Addy share his day. By the way, my mom made Addy's blessing dress from my wedding dress, so it was extra special!

Addy's "godfather" Adam was down for the weekend festivities as well, and Addy enjoyed spending time with him. Again, we are lucky to have such wonderful families.

Thank You, Anonymous Gifter!

We received a box from Amazon.com yesterday with "The Read Aloud Handbook" and a kids book called "My Father the Dog," which is very cute. The box did not have a packing sheet or any other note inside to let us know who it was from. I have an idea of who sent it, but I don't want to ask that person because if they didn't, I would feel bad having asked. So, whoever sent the books, Thanks! I'm excited to read the "Handbook" and we've already been reading "My Father the Dog" to Addy.

**Update. Thanks, Joy!

Easter Weekend

Here are some photos from this past Easter weekend, which was full of family and fun! This was Addy's first trip to the beach. We had a beach party to celebrate cousin Gene coming home from his mission to Poland. Grandma and Grandpa Wilson came to celebrate too. Poor Grandpa Wilson forgot swim trunks. I'm not sure I've seen him in swim trunks since I was a kid!

Aunt Shannon got Addy her own cake to celebrate the blessing she was given that morning by Alex. Thanks Aunt Shannon! Uncle Gene gave her a taste of the frosting when I wasn't looking.

Here we are just after Addy's blessing. Grandma Wilson made her dress out of my wedding dress, and it turned out so beautiful!

I was lucky that my brother Kevin, his family, my sister Kenna, and her family, and my parents came down for this special occasion. I have a great family.

Here is Addy with her Ohio cousins (from left) Tanner, Trey, Cameron (holding Addy), Ella, Mary, Monica, Sarah (behind Monica) and Rylee. Megan was wondering around somewhere outside the picture!

Here is Addy's half smile. I love the way she furrows her eyebrows.

Finally, here is Addy and Daddy at the Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Berger's house.

She's got expensive taste

Grandma and Grandpa Berger came to visit Addy last weekend, so that Addy could make a special trip to the Porsche dealership with Grandpa. Grandpa even let her watch racing with him. Here she is, fitting right in at the dealership with Grandpa.

I love this baby!

Here is a picture I snapped on my blackberry yesterday morning of Miss Addy. She was in quite the good mood. She had another doctor's appointment yesterday, where we learned that she now weighs 12 lbs. 7 oz. and has dropped in her height percentile (only 83%). She had a couple more shots, which Alex said really made her angry. Those of you that have seen her recently know how much she drools; the doctor even commented on how unusally drooly she is!

Eight Weeks!

Addy is eight weeks old today! Not much has changed for her in the last four weeks, although she really does now enjoy the Baby Einstein play mat (particularly the lights), is sleeping longer during the night, and does not like to have the pacifier as much when she is going to sleep. She has started to smile quite a bit, particularly after she has just woken up, just eaten, or just evacuated her bowels. She is still the most sweet, adorable baby I know.

She had an eventful day to celebrate her eight weeks on Earth, filled with church and a trip to visit Aunt Shannon and Uncle Gene. Alex and I forgot the diaper bag when we went over to Shannon and Gene's house, so when Addy blew out yet another diaper on Aunt Shannon's lap (very ironically, just after Aunt Shannon asked Addy not to have a blow out on her dress!), we could only disrobe her and wipe her down. She traveled home in the buff, wrapped in one of Uncle Gene's t-shirts.
